Reiki: Channeling Universal Life Force Energy

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique that has been practiced for over a century. The word "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words: "rei" meaning universal, and "ki" meaning life force energy. Together, they represent the universal life force energy that flows through all living things.

When this energy flow is blocked or depleted, we may experience physical pain, emotional distress, or a general sense of being "off." Reiki practitioners are trained to channel this universal energy and direct it to where it's needed most in your body.

During a Reiki session, you'll remain fully clothed and lie comfortably on a treatment table. The practitioner will place their hands lightly on or just above various parts of your body, allowing the energy to flow. You may feel warmth, tingling, or simply a deep sense of relaxation.

Reiki is gentle, non-invasive, and works in harmony with your body's natural healing processes. It's not about "fixing" you—it's about supporting your body's own ability to heal and restore balance. Many people find Reiki helpful for reducing stress, promoting relaxation, and clearing energetic blockages that may be contributing to physical or emotional issues.

Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, emotional overwhelm, or simply seeking a deeper sense of peace, Reiki can be a beautiful complement to other healing modalities or a powerful standalone practice.
